Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides
Set in the Merchants & Marauders universe, this standalone two-player game depicts a battle between opposing pirate ships competing for control of a profitable sea lane. Victory comes from sinking the enemy ship or eliminating its Captain and First Mate. Players use cards in combinations to aim cannons, draw additional cards, load different ammunition, fire broadsides, adjust course, and repair damage. Chain shot targets rigging, canister shot targets crew, and solid shot damages the hull, while different cannons offer distinct strengths. Each Captain has a unique Reputation and a selection of Dirty Tricks, creating varied tactical options from one matchup to the next.
