Namiji
Players act as traditional fishers navigating coastal waters south of the Japanese archipelago, moving along a linear route of action spaces to perform tasks. On each turn the last player advances forward to select an action, balancing slow movement for extra turns against faster travel to reach desired spaces first. Actions include line or net fishing to collect colorful fish for personal racks, hauling crustacean traps, stopping to upgrade equipment, and pausing to contemplate marine life at sacred rocks. Players can also offer floating offerings or fulfill sea-god requests during contemplation to earn rewards. Scoring reflects the productivity and honors gained over a day at sea.
