Puluc
Abstract traditional race-and-capture game of warriors played by the Ketchi people of Guatemala. Players each control five warrior pieces that move along a straight track of 21 spaces using corn-grain dice and marked grain indicators. Movement and captures occur as pieces advance along the row, and the goal is to capture all opposing warriors. Several regional variants exist with slightly different rules — commonly played in sequence — named for animals and elements such as the ant, eagle, scorpion, warrior ants and fire.
