Yavalath
Players take turns placing a piece on a hexagonal board five spaces to a side, filling empty cells one at a time. The objective is to create an unbroken straight line of four pieces of one colour; however, a straight line of three of one’s pieces formed before achieving four causes an immediate loss. The game is an abstract two-player placement and pattern race with simple rules that produce tactical and spatial tension throughout play.
