Players manage a small ranch, breeding and trading animals to build a diverse herd. Each turn involves rolling dice, resolving breeding and predator attacks from wolf and fox, and choosing whether to convert animals or buy pasture spaces to accommodate growth. Victory comes from assembling a herd that contains at least one horse, cow, sheep, and rabbit. Careful planning of purchases and exchanges balances expansion against the risk of losses from predators.
