Snake Clash

The ancient, godlike serpents have awakened from their deep slumber. Hungry for magic, they seek out relics of the past, consuming them to infuse themselves with immense power. Each predator sees the others only as prey, and all will fight relentlessly. Only the most cunning and fierce serpent will survive this trial of power. Snake Clash is a tile-laying fighting game for 2 to 4 players. Players take on the role of ancient Aztec serpents, slithering across the game board in pursuit of powerful relics and engaging in deadly stand-offs with opponent snakes. On each turn, players play a Move card to extend their serpent. Every card triggers one of five special effects: Lunge – move an additional tile Trick – swap your head with your tail end Smash – create an obstacle near your tail Shrink – shorten your snake Attack – bite an opponent’s snake The game ends when a player completes the Quest by collecting enough Relics and reaching the Altar, or when only one serpent remains alive. A snake is destroyed if it cannot perform a legal move (all paths are blocked) or if its Weakpoint—the tile attached directly to its head—is attacked. Once players have mastered the basic rules, they can explore Incarnation Mode, which introduces 14 unique serpent powers that dramatically reshape the game. An additional 2v2 Team Mode is also available, allowing players to form alliances and face off in coordinated battles. —description from the designer
