Somme 1918: Bloody Spring
A two-player wargame covering Operation Michael on the Western Front in 1918. The German player seeks to recreate the historic breakthrough and reach Amiens, while the Allied player must withstand the initial offensive, organize a defense, and launch a counterattack. The campaign lasts eight turns from late March to mid-April, with most turns divided into three operational phases. Rules cover air operations, replacements and unit reconstruction, strategic movement, inter-Allied cooperation, French reinforcements, the evolving use of assault troops, and the Doullens Conference, which establishes unified Allied command. The game includes a single-sided map, approximately 560 counters, player aids, rules, a historical booklet, and four dice.
