Players take the roles of iconic World Warriors who cooperate to stop the Four Kings and their mastermind, Shadaloo. Each player controls a fighter with a unique modular deck and signature special moves, performing attacks, building combos, and upgrading abilities as the group advances through staged encounters. Encounters pit the team against waves of rivals and culminate in a boss fight at the end of each stage. The game supports many characters and stages, emphasizing cooperative planning, combo construction, and character progression across a campaign of linked scenarios.
