The Birds of Summer
Players take the roles of parent birds protecting their baby birds from predators such as hawks and cats. Using cards for nesting places, birds, predators, and food, they build nests on a neighborhood chart, add food to each nest, and respond when the food attracts a predator. Players discuss their plans and make choices together, using memory, basic math, and problem-solving skills to keep the baby birds safe.
