The Burning Blue: The Battle of Britain, 1940
Simulates the 1940 air campaign as German raiding formations confront the British air-defence network. Players manage Luftwaffe raid planning and execution versus RAF fighter control, plotting interceptions, scrambling squadrons, and tracking minute-by-minute engagements over convoys, the Channel, and the approach to London. Gameplay uses detailed counters, plotting boards, and scenario-driven setups to model raid timing, detection, altitude, and fighter control. Scenarios reproduce historical raids and operational choices, with emphasis on command decisions, sortie allocation, and the interaction between controllers and pilots.
