The Deadly Woods: The Battle of the Bulge

The Battle of the Bulge is presented on a single map for play in one sitting. Covering the German offensive in December 1944 and the Allied counterattack through January 1945, the game uses a chit-pull system to determine movement, combat, reinforcements, logistics, and special actions across the Ardennes. Players command regiments, brigades, divisions, artillery, engineers, and other assets at a scale of three miles per hex. A thirteen-turn campaign covers the full battle, while a six-turn scenario focuses on the German offensive. Combat can cause losses, retreats, surrender, or stalemate, with victory determined by objectives and geographic Victory Points.
