The Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Set in ancient China during the Three Kingdoms era, this strategy game challenges players to conquer opposing capital cities. Each nation controls up to four armies, keeping the campaign compact. Play alternates between internal affairs and battles, with staff and general abilities influencing economic development and military operations. Players assign subordinates to provinces, maneuver armies among 40 castles, and use tactics cards inspired by Sun Tzu’s Art of War and other ancient texts. The game includes 129 historical characters and metal army miniatures.
