Veggies

2019 · Card Game

Veggies

Players build a produce stand by placing eight double-rows of six-spot cards into a personal grid, overlapping cards while preserving the overall grid structure. Each card shows strawberries, bananas, grapes, carrots, mushrooms, empty pallets, or rats; players either play the card in hand or take one from a shared row and then refill or draft to replace it. At game end, players choose goods to score: points come from the number of distinct groups of that good multiplied by the size of the largest group. Empty pallets score zero and rats are worth -2 points unless covered, so placement and coverage decisions influence both one’s own scoring and what goods opponents can exploit.

Simple and funny game. It has some strategy and great to close a game night. Another plus is its portable size, you can bring it anywhere.
