War for America: The American Revolution, 1775-1782

A strategic two-player game depicting the American Revolution as a conflict that expands into a global war. Players command colonial and British forces at the grand-strategic level, assembling armies to seize control of colonies and regions while managing retreats, disruption, and casualties. An Action Pulse and Initiative system gives turns variable lengths. The point-to-point map models North American geography and watershed movement, while French recognition brings France, Spain, and the Netherlands into the conflict with fleets operating in North American and Caribbean waters. The game includes a full campaign and a shorter scenario beginning in 1778.
