Can the team read the Captain’s mind and choose the correct word? In this cooperative party game, a Captain links a central word to one of twelve words around the board. The other players secretly guess which connection the Captain chose, earning stars for matching the answer. The Captain also earns a star if at least one player guesses correctly. After each round, a new Captain reveals a word and creates the next link. After eleven rounds, the team counts its stars to determine its score.

On adore les jeux de vocabulaire ou d’association d’idées. 13 mots c’est un style épuré, tout de blanc vétu. Mais qui arrive 10 ans trop tard, entre les So Clover et autres Decrypto ou Codenames ou dans un style un peu différent l’excellent Top Ten, 13 Mots tombe à plat : c’est souvent assez évident de trouver l’association du capitaine et finalement pas très captivant. Dommage car le matériel était sympa.
