Players act as merchants in 19th-century India, collecting goods at trading posts and delivering them to cities where demand fluctuates. Each turn they spend a limited number of action points to move their elephant (which carries up to two bundles), pick up or sell goods, visit cities to gain city tokens, and build palaces that alter opponents’ routes. Markets for each good change in price, so timing deliveries to the right city affects income. Rupees are earned from city token sets, palace construction, client tokens, and end-game scoring of top totals; the player with the most rupees wins.
