Doppelgänger

Secret false alliances create challenges for adventurers trying to complete quests. Each round, a rotating party leader selects adventurers for a quest, and those players contribute item cards to a common pool. The leader distributes the items, which may help or hinder the party, while players secretly roll dice to use them. Successful quests reveal Artifacts of Light; failed quests reveal Artifacts of Darkness. Loyal adventurers win by finding three Light artifacts, while hidden doppelgängers win by finding three Darkness artifacts. If any adventurer dies, that player’s secret allegiance determines the outcome.
