GKR: Heavy Hitters

Players pilot massive combat mechs in a televised, advertising-driven sport where corporations vie for salvage rights and viewer attention. Each player commands one Heavy Hitter plus three unmanned support units (Combat, Repair, Recon), moving on a hex-based board, managing energy and positioning, drawing and resolving cards, and resolving attacks with dice. Players balance frontline assault and support actions to score objectives, gain fans, and unlock pilot achievements. Solo rules are included.

Pretty good light tabletop hex based miniature game but was ultimately kicked out because of The Edge Dawnfall, Infinity, Tsukuyumi and Black Rose Wars as pure fighting DOAM games.

Surprisingly cool Mech Battle game. Visually amazing, with interesting and clever mechanics of deckbuildings, very immersive, and with a great theme.

I think the models and the atmosphere setup by this game is wholly unique (what with the advertisement/sponsor based fights in the city/arena and tagging buildings with adverts). I just wish the game didn't take so long and that I could find others who would be willing to play more often as repeated plays probably make this very fun to cut your teeth on as you slowly decide what cards/weapons you like most in various scenarios. Admittedly though I do find myself needing to be in the mood to play this.
