Heads of State

Players compete as nobles rising to power across the provinces and royal courts of 16th–18th-century Europe. Cards representing gold, troops, dueling skills, titles, castles, and bishops are collected to recruit nobles in England, France, Spain, and the German States. Control is gained by placing nobles across provinces and capitals, dominating countries, completing sets, and holding the most nobles of each rank. Treachery cards allow nobles to be removed and replaced through assassinations, executions, and other political methods.
