Queens' Gambit: Italy, 1742-48

An operational-level simulation of the War of the Austrian Succession in Italy from 1742 to 1748. Players command Bourbon France, Bourbon Spain, the Habsburg Empire, or Savoy, with forces from Genoa, Modena, Venice, Naples, and Britain also represented. Campaigns unfold across a map where hexes cover 8.5 miles and most units represent brigades rated by strength in battalions. The game supports up to four players, works with two, and includes solitaire play. Six maps, three books, charts, and 1,200 counters are included.
