Factions pursue unique objectives amid the political, religious, and cultural tensions of the first-century Roman world. Romans, Christians, Jews, and a coalition of outside cultures use asymmetric advantages to advance their agendas. Dice-driven action selection, deterministic combat, culturally based power decks, and objective points shape play. Rome contends with internal divisions and external challengers, while the other factions resist its expansion and pursue their own paths to influence and survival.
