Thunder in the East

Strategic hex-and-counter wargame set on the Eastern Front in World War II. Players command Axis or Soviet forces across a large map where each hex equals 30 miles and turns represent 7.5 days (extended to 15 in bad weather). Units represent divisions, corps, and armies at roughly 10–75k men, while air units stand for air strength roughly on the order of a few hundred aircraft early in the campaign. Gameplay focuses on maneuver, supply, and combat at the division/corps/army scale, using a consistent map and unit scale intended for linking with other games in the same series.
