World of Warcraft: The Boardgame

Choose a faction and a character class, then adventuring and faction conflict drive play. Players pick from a roster of races and classes, move across a regional map, fight monsters, gain experience and new abilities, and collect resources and honor for their faction. Teams representing opposing factions coordinate characters to challenge powerful, named overlords or to outlast the other side in open war; combat, leveling, and objective control determine the winner.

Played through most of a game, not ready to rate it yet. It's a long one; plan on 5-6 hours for your first game, depending on number of players. It is close to faithful to the online game, to its credit.

Good game that takes you to familiar settings but doesn't scratch the same itch as play the mmo. Set up time is also a deterrent for getting the game to the table.
