1870: Railroading Across the Trans Mississippi from 1870

An 18xx-style economic and route-building game set on a hex map of the central United States. Players buy and sell shares in rail companies, lay track tiles to build routes, and operate corporations according to the majority shareholder’s control. The game adds private companies with unique revenue abilities and a relatively large map that encourages many corporations to reach profitability. It also incorporates price protection, destination runs, and a share redemption mechanism. Play ends when the bank is depleted; the winner is the player with the highest personal cash and share value.
