5th Fleet: Modern Naval Combat in the Indian Ocean

Simulation of 1980s–90s naval combat in the Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, and Red Sea. Players command U.S., Soviet, and regional naval forces, managing capital ships, attack submarines, limited carrier air, and allied units across long-range blue-water operations. Gameplay models missile, torpedo, and air strike threats, fleet protection and convoy duties, and the logistical limits of forces operating far from home bases. Political and regional variables, including shifting alliances and the Indian Navy's role, influence force composition and objectives. Multiple scenarios and optional rules provide varied strategic and tactical challenges.
