Authentic Thaumaturgy (Second Edition)

This roleplaying supplement examines magic and psi abilities through theories and practices associated with real-world magicians and clerics. It presents a unified theory of magic, mathematical methods for determining spell success and power, and guidelines for treating spells as processes rather than fixed effects. Written for use with any roleplaying system, it also discusses Higher Powers, the literary and magical roots of game systems, and includes a humorous sample adventure featuring the caffeine-fueled Javacrucian Cult. A glossary covers terminology related to magic, psi, and Higher Powers.
