A darkly comic setting in southeast Alaska’s vast archipelago, where fishing villages, timber contracts, factory ships, and isolated communities occupy the emerald forests and surrounding waters. State Troopers patrol in floatplanes while unusual locals keep out of sight, creating a backdrop of crime, suspicion, and small-town tensions.
