In an alternate Roman Empire of 1229 AUC, players serve in the Cohors Arcana, investigating supernatural threats along the borders and beyond. Magic, mythical creatures, hostile tribes, dangerous seas, and political intrigue shape their missions. Each player chooses a career such as diplomat, warrior, scout, or mage. Adventures focus on investigation, ritual magic, and divination, with combat often close at hand.
