Mastabas

Players explore a newly discovered mastaba by placing chamber cards, manipulating mechanisms and moving an explorer pawn to collect treasures. On a turn the active player plays a card from hand partially over one or two table cards; the played card’s deity must be able to beat at least one adjacent deity. Placing a card over two cards with the same deity symbol awards a treasure. After placing, the player moves their explorer the number of spaces shown on the played card; ending on a card that matches the played card’s deity color also yields a treasure. The game ends when an explorer reaches the Exit (others lose treasure points equal to their distance to the Exit) or when the deck is exhausted. The objective is to exit with the most treasures.
