Players set lineups, assign forwards and defensemen, choose tactics like aggression or defensive posture, and track play-by-play outcomes such as shots, goals by period, assists, and timing. Game results are determined by team/player cards representing real-season data, and the system supports detailed scorekeeping and statistical record-keeping. New team cards are released each season to reflect roster and performance changes, while older cards cover previous years.
