The Comae Engine

A streamlined d100 roleplaying system that refocuses classic mechanics on flexible, narrative play. Players resolve conflicts—combat, social contests, investigations, chases, puzzles and stunts—using a unified resolution mechanic that adapts to different genres and scene types. Character creation and task resolution prioritize quick, simple rules while allowing deeper complexity where needed (magic, powers, starships, etc.). The game supports group and solo play, encourages nonviolent and investigative encounters, and is compatible in spirit with other classic d100 titles. The rules are in late beta and remain open to feedback and refinement.
