Tiny Epic Dungeons

A fully cooperative fantasy dungeon crawl for 1–4 players where a party of Heroes explores a modular, room-by-room dungeon to find and confront a fearsome Dungeon Boss. Players move through rooms, fight goblins and other minions, avoid traps, manage a dwindling torchlight that decreases each turn, and search for Ritual Rooms that weaken the boss’s magical bond to the lair. Play splits into two acts: clearing the dungeon and then battling the boss, which has unique abilities and a lair with tactical effects. Heroes collect legendary loot and spells, and equip set pieces that gain power when combined to prepare for the final confrontation.

I just revealed a room with a Goblin/Minion/Trap — do I take damage and stop moving immediately?

Yes. Goblin encounters deal 1 damage and end your movement; Minion encounters deal 2 damage and end your movement; Traps force an immediate Skill Check (fail triggers the trap’s damage) and after resolving the check you may continue moving or attempt to Disarm (Rulebook p.8).

How do Hero Dice work — can I roll three and keep the best, and what do unused dice do?

You roll up to your Skill’s number of Hero Dice (never more than 3), then pick one die as the result; ‘+’ dice can boost the chosen die (Rulebook p.9). Any unused dice with Focus icons give +1 Focus each after a successful check, and any unused 6-face gives +1 Health after resolving the check (Rulebook p.9).

If I attack and don’t kill the enemy, does it get to counter‑attack automatically?

Yes — after any attack, if the enemy is still alive and is in the same room or in line‑of‑sight, it immediately Counter‑Attacks (you also roll the Enemy Die when making such attacks) (Rulebook p.11).

What exactly happens when the torch moves down the Torch Mat?

When the torch moves down and lands on/passes certain spaces it triggers immediate effects such as adding a Goblin to the Entrance and causing all enemies to perform their listed actions in order; if the torch reaches the final skull space you lose (Rulebook p.15).

When and how do we trigger the Boss fight — do we flip the Boss as soon as we reach the door?

Once the Lair Door is revealed and all Minions (one per hero) are defeated, a hero may take the 'Enter the Boss’s Lair' Free Action to flip the Boss Mat to Act 2, stack Minion Health markers on the Boss’s track, place the Boss token, flip the Torch Mat to its Act 2 side, and place Altar markers on Minion Encounter cards (Rulebook p.17).
