Gems of Iridescia

The civilization of Iridescia is reclaiming the land after centuries in the sky. You and up to 3 other unique clans explore, finding precious ? gems and ? ancient relics. On your turn you will reveal adjacent tiles and choose which path you'd like to take. Each offers a gem and sometimes coins, extra dice, or royalty points. You can choose to spend coins to ⛏️ mine additional gems, purchase and/or play an item card that offers special abilities or sell gems you don't need to free up space in your cargo hold. The gem market is everchanging, constantly fluctuating the difficulty of successfully rolling for an extra gem or two. You'll need a certain set of gems to restore ? relics and gain royalty points for each. The relics you choose to restore will depend on what personal goal you're attempting to attain and set ⚙️ collection goals. The final row holds big bonuses, and the player who ends with the most royalty points wins the title of leader of Iridescia! There's something so appealing about a variable economy! This game is as quick and easy to learn as it is adorably themed. The aesthetic is definitely there, but if you can get your hands on the shiny Iridescent Edition, do it! We have only played this at 2, but there is the option to play solo or add the automated player to a 2 player game to make it more competitive. The board is double-sided for a daytime or nighttime look, and it comes standard with spectacular storage inserts and player aids (always a must have for me). We also have the Starlight of Iridescia expansion which adds some new cards, tiles, and the star token resource.
