Migration

En aquest joc d’estratègia per a 2–4 jugadors, cada jugador guia diversos animals antropomòrfics que migren cap a un nou continent. Els jugadors es van alternant per col·locar fitxes d’animals com a poblats, i cada poblat nou s’origina generalment a partir de l’últim que s’ha col·locat. Cada animal té una habilitat única, cosa que crea diferents possibilitats tàctiques. La partida acaba quan no queden moviments legals, i els jugadors puntuen pels poblats que hi ha al tauler. Aquesta edició inclou el joc original i un segon llibre amb cartes d’Era, un draft opcional, un tauler modular, modificadors de terreny addicionals i sis nous tipus d’explorador.

Migration is a quick playing abstract game in the tradition of Hive, where game pieces have special abilities that determine their movement and placement around the board. The idea is, each player wants to have the most pieces faceup on the small hex board at the end of the game. This is done by playing secretly selected pieces from your hand, following that piece's placement rules. There are big hint cards for each piece to remind you of their abilities, and then the game is over before you know it. I'm enjoying how fresh each match feels, as you have a different map, and can select a different array of pieces to use. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
