Quintessence

Quintessence: an asymmetrical arena battle game. Four peoples, each mastering an element (fire, water, earth, air), had been at war for centuries. One day, a warrior emerged, powerful enough to rally the tribes under a single banner. He brought peace between the peoples and became the King of the Elements! But the king was murdered, and peace has been shaky ever since. So each people sent their 2 best Champions (1 man and 1 woman) to fight in the arena. At the end of the battle, a new King or Queen of the Elements will be crowned by the people! Quintessence can be played in teams of 2, or solo. The game consists of 5 rounds. The player (or team) with the most honor coins wins the game. There are 3 ways to earn honor coins: Keeping the Crown of Elements at the end of a turn gives you 1 honor coin Completing one of your two secret quests each turn gives you 1 honor coin per successful quest Eliminating an opponent from the arena gives you 3 honor coins. —description from the publisher
