Players form a troupe of craftsmen and explorers in a verdant valley shaped by a fallen crimson light. They travel the vale, gathering resources, learning to craft magical Artifice from a red substance found after meteor showers, and developing their individual specialties. Encounters resolve on tactical grid maps where players cooperate to overcome threats and hazards. Between battles, each character takes solo interludes to advance personal goals and craft powerful items, while shared town projects and resource management tie the group’s progress together.
