Blood Bound

Players take on hidden roles within rival clans and, in some player counts, a neutral inquisitor, each with a secret identity and a unique ability. Through negotiated attacks and targeted actions, players force reveals that disclose rank or clan information and trigger one-shot character powers. Gameplay centers on deduction and social interaction as participants probe neighbors, coordinate with known allies, and act on limited information to identify and capture the opposing clan’s Elder. Capturing the correct target wins the game; capturing the wrong figure leads to defeat.

An excellent, quick party game for 6-12 players. It’s simple enough to explain to new gamers and everyone seems to immediately want to play this again after their first game. There’s bluffing and strategy involved, and unlike some other hidden role games, you start out each game with a little bit of information (seeing the team of the person to your right). From there, the game unfolds nicely as you learn more and more about other players with each wound they take.
