Players lead rival Viking clans who arrive to defend a harbor town from trolls, draugr and other Norse creatures. Victory points (glory) come from defeating monsters, completing voyages and earning the favor of the gods. On each turn players place workers to gather resources, recruit warriors and carve runes, then assign warriors (custom dice) to fights and voyages. Resources pay for ships, feeding followers and activating abilities. This edition bundles the base game with multiple expansions and promotional content, adding additional scenarios, enemies and components.
