Conflict of Heroes: Guadalcanal – The Pacific 1942

A tactical hex-and-counter war game that recreates the 1942 struggle for control of an airfield on a Pacific island. Players command US Marines, US Army units and Japanese forces across beach, jungle and perimeter sectors, resolving infantry assaults, amphibious landings, night actions and banzai-style counterattacks. Gameplay uses unit counters, scenario-driven objectives and a turn-based activation system to simulate small-unit tactics, firepower, morale and supply in confined terrain. Scenarios emphasize holding or reducing a tight perimeter, conducting landings and managing limited reinforcements over a campaign of linked battles.
