Players act as builders in 1st-century Évora, tasked with erecting the temple's surviving columns. On a rondel, players move workers to take actions: gather and place stones and capitals to build columns, upgrade completed columns to multiply their value, and recruit influential characters via cards. Characters grant special effects during play: an emperor increases end-game column value, a governor inspects and provides in-game compensation, a centurion improves movement options, and an architect enhances construction efficiency. Prestige points come from stones placed in each column and from bonuses; the highest total wins.
