Players take on the roles of investigators and heroes in a grim, gothic kingdom wracked by darkness and disappearances. Through scenario-based exploration, they search locations, gather clues, battle creatures, and rescue or recruit allies while managing equipment, skills, and party development. A campaign-driven system links connected missions: choices carry over, characters gain new abilities and resources, and players pursue long-term objectives against an encroaching ritual threat. Gameplay combines cooperative tactical encounters, card-driven events, and narrative objectives as the group works to uncover and stop the mastermind behind the suffering of the land.
