Intent to Kill

A detective noir hidden-role game for 2–4 players where one player acts as a serial killer and the others play detectives investigating a string of murders. Gameplay alternates between rounds in which a new murder occurs and the detectives move across city blocks, question civilians, collect evidence and try to deduce the killer’s identity and motive. The killer plans moves, hides motives and can intimidate civilians to disrupt testimony and slow the investigation. The game resolves after the fifth murder; the detectives win by identifying the killer and motive, otherwise the killer prevails. Optional rules and scenarios add motives, components and complexity for repeated play.
