Rodozář: Bezcitova laboratoř

Players cooperate as a team of seekers who descend a layered “well” of challenge cards to reach and confront the Master at its center. Each turn, players play color-matching skill cards to defeat the active challenge; some cards are dual-colored or wild, and failed attempts add progress but can incur penalties. Teammates may boost each other with their own cards, and running out of cards generates exhaustion cards that worsen a player’s options. Defeating challenges yields rewards like healing or forcing deeper delves by discarding unseen challenges. All players share a common health pool that, if depleted, ends the game.

The same review applies to all Kinfire Delve games. Overall they're a nice and cosy way to pass time when you don't have energy to engage your brain fully. Art is great, its main selling point, actually. Design and quality of the product is great too. Replayability is low mainly because the game resolves almost the same way every time, without much variance even when changing player characters, solo or multi, or which variant of the boss is playing. Another thing that prevents the game from shining is that it is too easy. It barely has any challenge. It's very difficult to fail. Hence saying it's a cosy game, much like the original window solitaire, which you play to disconnect your mind for a time. Finally, price is right for the gaming value provided.
