The Bloody Inn

France, 1831: players are members of a rural family who run an inn and aim to profit from visiting travelers by converting guests into accomplices, annexes, or corpses. Each round fills the inn with guest cards that show costs to act, affinities that allow some discarded cards to return to hand, and an amount of cash carried by each guest. Players take two actions per round from options such as bribing a guest into an accomplice (taking a guest card to hand), building an annex (playing a card to serve as a burial site), killing a guest (taking a guest card to the player area), burying a victim (placing a victim under an annex to collect their francs), or laundering excess cash into checks. Police cards trigger investigations that can force players to pay for hurried burials, and players must also pay accomplices each round. After the deck cycles twice, a final round is played and the player with the most francs wins.
