This expansion shifts the plague theme into new strategic directions by adding a movable caravan and diplomat units that influence interactions between regions. Players deploy diplomats and use the caravan to alter trade routes, affect disease spread, and manipulate control over adjacent areas. Region cards give players targeted information and limited control over potential outbreaks, changing how epidemics are anticipated and managed. The components and rules also enable play with up to six participants, integrating with the base game to expand player count and tactical options.
