2026 · Card Game
Can't Win
Players play a trick-taking game in which each round begins with a secret bid predicting exactly how many tricks they will take. Before play, each player also selects a constraint that restricts which cards they may use to win tricks, creating tactical trade-offs between flexibility and predictability. Tricks are played in successive hands, with players following suit and trying to meet their bids under the chosen constraints. After each round, players score points for tricks taken and receive bonus points for matching their bid; the game’s final score multiplies total tricks won by the points earned for correct bids.
