Players investigate a murder in a mansion by deducing which suspect committed the crime, which weapon was used, and in which room it occurred. Gameplay centers on moving between rooms, making suggestions, and asking other players to reveal cards that disprove those suggestions so hidden information in the case envelope can be eliminated. This edition adds a new character and updated board layouts with larger spaces and direct room-to-room movement, includes special Red Bonus cards for standard play, and offers adjusted two-player/team rules that modify card handling and card-revealing mechanics.
