Cuius Regio: The Thirty Years War

A simulation of operational warfare across the Thirty Years’ War, covering individual interventions and a full 31-turn campaign from 1618–1648. Players command armies, maneuver across a map of central Europe, conduct operations multiple times per turn, and decide when to commit forces to battles or sieges. Each turn’s length varies with the number and activity of armies, and repeated operations reduce an army’s effectiveness. Field battles and sieges use a unified combat system resolved by die rolls adjusted for leadership, unit composition, and condition via a simple battle results table. Scenarios range from short engagements to a multi-session, strategic campaign.
