Empires in Arms

A grand strategic simulation of European diplomacy and warfare during 1805–1815. Players each control a major power and manage economics, recruiting and manpower, diplomatic relations, and both land and naval forces. Gameplay proceeds in monthly turns with distinct phases for diplomacy, reinforcements, naval operations and land movement/combat; an economic phase recurs periodically to collect resources and buy future forces. Armies and fleets maneuver on a large map while sieges, leadership, unit types, morale and naval wind-gauge influence outcomes. Scenarios range from short engagements to a full multi-year campaign for multiple players or with neutral powers filling absent nations.
