Escape from New York

Players take on the roles of operatives dropped into a lawless Manhattan to locate the President, recover a tape-containing case, and secure a bridge diagram so they can get out within a 24-hour time limit. Gameplay mixes exploration, combat and interaction with roaming gangs and named bosses that hinder progress by moving adversaries and consuming time. Players may cooperate to complete the three objectives or pursue hidden personal goals and betray the group to escape alone. Action resolves through character abilities, encounters with Bands of Manhattan, and tension from a ticking-turn mechanic that pressures decisions and movement.

Un viernes de nostalgia para los de la generación X. Un juego sin mucha imaginación en las mecánicas pero muy jugoso en la implicación de los jugadores. Es muy dependiente del grupo ya que si lo juegas con gente que no es muy fan de Carpenter, el juego se queda un poco descafeinado. Una buena jornada que sin embargo no sé si volveré a jugar. Como con las películas, la ves y no tienes necesidad de volver a verla hasta un futuro incierto.
